Green Coffee Beans

So everyone promotes Green Coffee Beans for weight loss and I have been taking them for two weeks now. Some claim that the weight loss is due to the Green coffee beans curbing your appetite. Here’s what I have found when doing some research:

Green coffee beans refers to the raw or unroasted beans. Green coffee beans are cleaned, dried, roasted, ground and brewed to produce coffee.

Green Coffee Beans properties and effects:

Coffee is a notable source of caffeine. However, coffee’s effects on glycemic control and weight loss have been attributed to its other components, including chlorogenic acid, quinides, lignans, and trigonelline, all of which have been shown to improve glucose metabolism in animal studies.

Chlorogenic acid has specifically been shown to inhibit an enzyme, glucose-6-phosphatase, that promotes the formation of glucose (sugar) in the liver.

Dr. Joe Vinson, a chemist from the University of Scranton, believes the ingredient responsible for successful weight loss in his green coffee research is an antioxidant present in the raw coffee beans called chlorogenic acid.

Dr. Vinson suggests that chlorogenic acid inhibits the release of glucose into the blood stream. He hypothesizes that by slowing down the absorption of glucose in the bloodstream, the chlorogenic acid ultimately results in a reduction in the absorption of fat.

Japanese researchers did a study in 2005 using a placebo for some participants and green coffee bean extract on the others, in a test of the potential effects of the substance on people with mild hypertension. The result was lower blood pressure and no negative side effects.

Yet another chlorogenic acid study on rats found that chlorogenic acid reduced cholesterol levels and improved glucose tolerance.

Chlorogenic acid may be one of the compounds in prunes that aids in the laxative effect.

Chlorogenic acid may have a mood enhancing effect independent of caffeine.

One of the mechanisms of chlorogenic acid and diabetes prevention could lay in its actions as an alpha-glucosidase inhibitorwhich reduces the rate or amount of carbohydrate uptake.

Other Major benefits of Green Coffee Beans and Chlorogenic Acid:

  • Antioxidant Properties (cancer fighting chemicals)
  • Laxative Properties (helps to promote proper digestion)
  • Colon Cleansing Properties (helps to clean out gut and colon)

Chlorogenic acid is a superb colon cleanser and drastically decreases the chances of gut infections and diseases such as colon cancer and also protects your liver.

Here are some other foods with Chlorogenic Acid:

(High content)

Sunflower seeds, Tea, and BlueBerries.

(Lower content, but still higher than most other foods)

Chinese parsley, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Apples,  Pears, and Eggplant

It is also contained in Tobacco.

My personal experience with Green Coffee Bean 365:

After taking 2 to 3 capsules a day for two weeks I have lost 4.8 lbs. But being a diabetic the most beneficial aspect has been the reduction of my blood sugar levels to near normal despite a lack of dieting in this period. This is a surprising result as up to this period my readings had been consistently in the 11.4 to 12.8 range.  In the last two weeks they have dropped to between 6.4 to 7.9. It would be an understatement to say I recommend Green Coffee Beans as part of your daily regiment.

Beware, not all Green Coffee Bean Extracts are the same.

1. Make sure that the supplement is made in the US or Europe.
2. Avoid formulas with ephedrine which is a low quality sign.
3. Verified…verified and VERIFIED. Always purchase verified supplements – that is your high quality guarantee.
4. The price of a quality supplement should be at least $45-50. Pick another supplement if this amount means a lot to you and your family.
